bacalah...

"Verily the one who recites the Quran beautifully, smoothly, and precisely, he will be in the company of the noble and obedient angels. And as for the one who recites with difficulty, stammering or stumbling through its verses, then he will have TWICE that reward"
(Al Bukhari and Muslim)

Subhanallah..

see how Allah swt rewards His servant whom reciting His words. Those whom use excuses as such reciting alQuran is too difficult because his/her Arabic language is a lil bit rusty and that has deterred him/her from reading alQuran is utterly wrong and lame.

therefore my sisters, let's get started and make the change. let's start with 10 verses/day and increase the verses day-by-day, inshaAllah..Allah s.w.t will bestow on us the blessings of reciting His words.

...forgive me My Lord, for ignoring Your Words..for choosing to spend time reading gossip columns and news headlines written by your creations about your other creations instead of reading Your Words, The Creator of everything that exists in this entire universe...X(

Bismillah ir-Rahman ir-Rahim...
(In the name of Allah the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful...)

Allahuakbar. imagine ourselves in her shoes. can we stand still and defend Islam as our utter and pure identity?

May Marwa al-Sherbini's soul showered with Allah s.w.t blessings.

Al-Fatihah.

CAIRO - A woman stabbed to death in a German court was an Egyptian who had sued her attacker after he insulted her for wearing the Islamic headscarf, Egyptian newspapers reported on Friday.

Marwa al-Sherbini, 32, who was killed in a court in Dresden on Wednesday, was the wife of Egyptian academic Elwi Ali Okaz who was also hurt in the incident and is now in critical condition in hospital, the state-owned Al-Akhbar reported.

The attacker stabbed Sherbini “shortly before she was to give evidence in an appeal lodged by the man against a conviction for insulting her over wearing the hijab,” said the state-owned Egyptian Gazette.

The 28-year-old man, identified only as Axel W, was overpowered and was being investigated for manslaughter over the killing of the woman, a spokesman for the Dresden prosecutor’s office said.

Magdi al-Sayed, press officer at the German embassy in Cairo, said the case was isolated and did not reflect German attitude towards Muslims.

“It is a criminal act. It has nothing to do with persecution against Muslims,” Sayed told the Gazette.

They killed her because she was veiled”, these were the first words of Tarek El-Sherbini brother of Dr. Marwa al-Sherbini.

In his first press statement to “Alyoum Elsabe” El Sherbini claimed that Marwa, his only sister had a son Mostafa who was three and a half and was also three months pregnant. The last time she visited Egypt was six months ago. He added that she called her parents last Tuesday, the day before yesterday, to check up on them.

Tarek said his sister was thirty years old and had received a Degree in Pharmacy in 2000. Marwa was working as a pharmacist in Germany. Her husband was supposed to receive his PhD this month and was worried about his wife’s health as she was kept in Intensive Care.

He stressed that “the Germans kept the crime a secret because it had taken place inside the court where Marwa was murdered because of her headscarf” he added “we want nothing but her rights back, because she was killed for practising Islam even before she travelled to Germany… her parents still don’t know she was killed inside the court, all they know is that she died”.

Dr. Mohamed Gaber Abu Ali, Head of the Cultural Affairs and Missions in the Ministry of Education stated that Marwa El-Sherbini, the wife of the Egyptian envoy Elwi Ali Okaz and lecturer in the Genetic Engineering Institute, of Monoufeya University, had a personal scholarship from Max Blank Institute, was stabbed by a German citizen and died instantly, her husband was mistakenly shot in the courtyard of Landes Gericht Dresden in Dresden City.

O Ramadhan!

Ramadhan is the month during which the Quran was revealed, providing guidance for the people, clear teachings, and the statute book. Those of you who witness this month shall fast therein. Those who are ill or travelling may substitute the same number of other days. Allah swt wishes for you convenience, not hardship, that you may fulfill your obligations, and to glorify Allah swt for guiding you, and to express your appreciation
(Al-Baqarah 2:185)
